Eligibility Requirements

You do not have to have bacterial vaginosis to participate in this study. We are looking for women who either currently have bacterial vaginosis (and will be treated during the study), or women that do not have bacterial vaginosis as a comparison.

We are looking for women ages 18 to 50 to participate in this study.

We are looking for women who are not pregnant, and are not planning on becoming pregnant for the duration of the study (6 months).

We are looking for women who have never had a hysterectomy to participate in this study.

We are looking for women who are willing to take daily swabs, and will require these samples to be kept in a freezer between monthly visits to the clinic. For a complete description of what is required of participants during the study, click the button below:
