Eligibility Requirements

Individuals going through a singleton (one baby) pregnancy and undergoing an elective C-section at or after 36 weeks of gestation.

Participants must be over the age of 18

Be available for the duration of the study, and if possible, provide follow-up information related to end of pregnancy outcomes and the child's health.

An individual who meets any of the following criteria may not participate in this study:

-diagnosed with pre-eclampsia

-less than 36 weeks' gestation

-in active labour at the time of enrolment

We are looking for individuals that are willing to go along with the study procedures, including providing various biological samples, filling out questionnaires, and recording of your dietary intake.
