As part of the THRIVE studies, you will be completing a food diary using the Automated Self-Administered 24-Hour (ASA24) Dietary Assessment Tool. The diary is used to obtain information about what you ate, drank, and any supplements you are taking during the studies.
You will be given an anonymous sample ID code specific to you and login information. For the one to three consecutive days following the enrolment visit, and one to three days prior to each follow up visit, you will enter what you ate and drank that day. This includes the morning, lunch, supper, and snacks you may have had. It may take up to 30 minutes to record this information each day, and the system will remind you to input any missing information that you could have overlooked. You can record the information all at once, or log in multiple times during your day(s) to keep track of your diet in real-time.
Information from the food diary will help us to determine how diet influences the vaginal microbiome, health, and susceptibility to disease such as sexually transmitted infections, bacterial vaginosis, and other health outcomes.
